Alien: Isolation 2

Game: Alien: Isolation 2 Developer: Creative Assembly Publisher: SEGA of America / 20th Century Studios Genre: Survival Horror Platforms: PC (Steam) · PlayStation · Xbox · Nintendo Switch 2 (wishlist coming soon) Release: TBA Revealed At: Summer Game Fest 2026

It’s back. Creative Assembly and SEGA of America have officially announced Alien: Isolation 2 at Summer Game Fest 2026, more than a decade after the original survival horror masterpiece left players breathless in 2014. A new trailer debuted today confirming the game’s existence, and wishlist pages are now live on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. A Nintendo Switch 2 wishlist will follow soon.

The sequel is built around a new setting, a new protagonist, and a new story — but maintains the same predatory tension that made the original one of the most genuinely terrifying games ever made. The setting this time is Kurosaki Station, a Weyland-Yutani outpost on a remote, storm-ravaged colony world. The Xenomorph is smarter. The environment is harsher. And the chance of survival, according to the team, is slimmer.

Kurosaki Station — A New Hunting Ground

The original Alien: Isolation was defined by its claustrophobic, meticulously detailed recreation of the Nostromo and Sevastopol Station — environments that felt lived-in, industrial, and entirely without safe corners. The sequel moves to a new world: a remote colony planet battered by storms, where players will need to survive both the hostile environment of the planet’s surface and the confined, oppressive spaces of Kurosaki Station itself.

The dual-environment setup — exposed exterior terrain and interior corridors — is a significant expansion of the original’s design vocabulary. Where the first game was almost entirely set inside a decaying space station, the sequel’s colony world setting suggests the Xenomorph will be encountered in a wider variety of spatial contexts, requiring players to develop new tools, techniques, and improvised tactics for each. The creative director’s framing — smarter Alien, harsher environment, slimmer survival odds — signals that the sequel is not softening the difficulty that made the original so uncompromising.

“It has been over a decade since we created the original Alien: Isolation and I am so excited to show everyone the first glimpse of the sequel. Our dedicated Survival team at Creative Assembly has been working hard to create a new, evolved Isolation experience continuing the legacy of the Alien franchise, making the eponymous killer smarter, the environment harsher and the chance of survival slimmer.” — Al Hope, Creative Director, Creative Assembly
