Serenity Forge has announced that Puppergeist, a rhythmic visual novel about a young witch’s journey into the Doggie Underworld to find her lost pup, will launch on July 16, 2026 across Nintendo Switch, Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The announcement came today during the Women-Led Games Showcase and was accompanied by a new trailer — the game’s first public look — which also revealed an impressive roster of guest composers contributing to the soundtrack.
Developed entirely in-house by Serenity Forge (the studio behind Fractured Blooms, BAD END THEATER, and the To the Moon series), Puppergeist follows Claire, a young witch who ventures into the Doggie Underworld to recover her lost pup. Along the way she meets Lunne, a new demon companion, and a cast of doggie spirits whose stories of friendship, love, and loss build out the emotional heart of the adventure. Story progress is driven by rhythm-based mini-games and remixes — the music isn’t just an accompaniment, it’s the mechanism.
