Bloober Team is back—and it’s not holding back. Known for genre-defining horror titles like The Medium, Blair Witch, and Layers of Fear, the studio has officially dropped a new gameplay showcase trailer for its next terrifying vision: Cronos: The New Dawn.
Set to release Fall 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, this third-person survival horror game is shaping up to be one of the studio’s most intense offerings yet—and we couldn’t be more excited.
🧠 Time Travel, Terror, and Tactical Burnings
In Cronos: The New Dawn, you play as a Traveler employed by the mysterious Collective, a force operating between timelines to extract the souls—called Essences—of key individuals before the collapse of humanity.
The gameplay trailer reveals a chilling blend of survival horror and combat strategy, layered with a unique mechanic known as Merging. Kill a monster, and you’d better torch the body—because if you don’t, its nearby allies can absorb it and transform into even deadlier abominations.
🔥 No time to hesitate. No second chances. Burn them before they become unstoppable.
⌛ Two Timelines. One Mission.
The game takes place across two interconnected eras: a desolate, mutated future, and 1980s Poland on the brink of a cataclysmic event called The Change. These timelines aren’t just narrative backdrops—they’re fully explorable environments with tactical importance. Navigate time rifts, solve environmental puzzles, and harvest lost souls to bring their powers with you into the future… but beware: the more you carry, the more haunted you become.
🔪 Brutal, Beautiful, and Unforgiving
Combat is fast, raw, and desperate. Ammunition is scarce. Every encounter is a decision: fight, burn, or run. Between grotesque enemies, eerie environmental design, and the creeping whispers from harvested Essences, Cronos constantly keeps your nerves on edge.
Craft weapons, manage resources, manipulate time anomalies—and don’t look back.
