Despite a hilariously delayed announcement email from Valve, the highly anticipated Steam House & Home Fest is officially live right now! Ushering in the spring season with a massive wave of price cuts, the event brings thousands of discounts and playable demos to the storefront for anyone looking to scratch that architectural or interior design itch.

Running from March 30th through April 6th at 10:00 a.m. PT, this uniquely themed festival is dedicated entirely to games centered on domestic spaces and property management.
The House & Home Fest covers a surprisingly broad spectrum of genres. In classic Valve fashion, the official press email announcing the festival arrived with a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor regarding its own tardiness.
The anonymous author jokingly pointed out that players should have received a “BRACE YOURSELVES” warning on Thursday, but the email slipped through the cracks. A humorous footnote from the “Steam Team” quickly clarified that “the lapse in work ethic of the person who sent this email… does not reflect the work ethic of the entire team.”
