Headup Games showcased a full slate of exciting titles at Gamescom Germany 2025, offering fans the opportunity to go hands-on with their upcoming lineup. From a 3D reimagining of an indie classic to ambitious new survival and puzzle titles, the booth was packed — and our team was there to check them all out.
Super Meat Boy 3D
Super Meat Boy 3D stole the spotlight at Headup’s booth, and for good reason. Taking the iconic precision platformer into a brand-new dimension, this entry brings Meat Boy into fully realized 3D worlds while keeping the same brutal challenge fans love.
This was easily my personal favorite from Headup’s showcase, and it seemed to be the fan favorite overall, too. Crowds kept returning to try and conquer levels, laugh at the failures, and celebrate those rare, perfect runs.
INDUSTRIA 2
We also went hands-on with INDUSTRIA 2, the sequel to the atmospheric narrative shooter. INDUSTRIA 2 expands the haunting world of the first game with bigger environments, new mechanics, and more ambitious storytelling.
After playing the demo, I’m already planning to replay the first INDUSTRIA before launch to refresh myself on the story. This sequel feels like it’s aiming to elevate everything that made the original so compelling.
Causal Loop
Next up was Causal Loop, a unique puzzle-driven experience. Focused on manipulating cause-and-effect across timelines, the game had players scratching their heads but smiling as they pieced together clever solutions.
It’s one of those games that seems destined to spark discussion in the community as people compare strategies and experiment with different approaches to solving its mind-bending challenges.
Royal Revolt: Survivors
Finally, we checked out Royal Revolt: Survivors, an exciting new survival title that blends rogue-lite mechanics with the charm of the Royal Revolt universe. Packed with fast-paced action and plenty of replayability, it feels like one of those games that’ll quickly find a loyal following.
Our Gamescom Experience
Beyond the games themselves, meeting the Headup Games team was an absolute highlight. They were enthusiastic, welcoming, and clearly proud of the projects they’ve been building. The booth had a great energy, with fans constantly crowding around to play — especially for Super Meat Boy 3D, which was the clear centerpiece.
Headup’s upcoming lineup feels diverse and ambitious, and if Gamescom was any indication, players are in for a treat once these titles launch. We can’t wait to dive deeper into each of them when they release.
