Mob Entertainment confirms a February launch for “Broken Things,” bringing players face-to-face with Experiment 1006.
With these chilling words, Mob Entertainment has officially pulled back the curtain on the next terrifying installment of their mascot horror juggernaut. Today, the studio announced that Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 — “Broken Things” will launch on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Console players will have to wait a bit longer, with a release for those platforms scheduled for the months ahead.
Enter The Prototype
Alongside the release date, a new cinematic trailer titled “The Prototype” was released, giving fans their closest look yet at the series’ central antagonist: Experiment 1006.
Deep within the vacant halls of the Playtime Co. lab, the trailer depicts The Prototype stalking its unfinished work—tattered, lifeless remains of toys that once were. The footage hints at the creature’s gruesome hobby of assembling “broken things,” a thematic thread that gives this chapter its official subtitle.

Broken Things
Chapter 5 picks up immediately after the devastating finale of Chapter 4. According to the official description, players will traverse a new “realm of shadows” deep within the factory—The Prototype’s stomping grounds.
The stakes have never been higher. Separated from your only allies and with Poppy narrowly escaping with her life, you must face the “deadly puppetmaster” alone. But the Prototype isn’t the only threat; the announcement teases the return of a familiar nightmare. Players will be pursued by Playtime’s security system: Huggy Wuggy, suggesting the blue terror is back in a new, perhaps more robotic or controlled form.
Key Features for Chapter 5 include:
- New Tools: Solve devious puzzles and overcome environmental obstacles with new GrabPack functionality.
- Tortured Denizens: Encounter new entities living in the darkness. They may aid you in your quest to defeat The Prototype, but whether they can be trusted remains a mystery.
- The Truth: Reach the “rotten heart” of Playtime Co. and uncover the company’s gravest sins.
With only a month left until launch, fans won’t have to wait long to see if they can survive the puppet master’s twisted madness.
