The 4-player retro beat ’em up features a main theme by Cody Carpenter, son of horror legend John Carpenter.

Get ready for pixelated carnage. Publisher Selecta Play and developer Relevo have announced that Terrifier: The ARTcade Game will officially launch on November 21, 2025. The bloody 2D retro beat ’em up is hacking and slashing its way onto PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

Inspired by the classic arcade brawlers of the 80s and 90s, the game lets you and up to three friends play as the sinister villain from the Terrifier film franchise, Art the Clown. The story sees Art disrupting various movie sets that are producing films about his own murderous rampages.

The release date was revealed in a brand-new trailer that also showcased the game’s main theme, composed by Cody Carpenter, son of legendary horror filmmaker and composer John Carpenter. The chiptune track sets a perfectly retro and eerie tone for the over-the-top violence.
