Train Sim World 6 is pulling into the station on September 30, 2025 (with 5-day early access for Deluxe and Special Edition pre-orders). Developed and published by Dovetail Games, the newest entry in the long-running series pushes immersion further than ever with three new routes, new trains, and the long-awaited addition of random events.

Three New Routes, Endless Challenges
Train Sim World 6 is headlined by three brand-new routes:
- Morristown Line (USA) – Operates NJ TRANSIT® services between New York and Dover on the Arrow III EMU, ALP-46, and Multilevel Cars. Deluxe Edition drivers also get access to the dual-power ALP-45DP for added variety.
- The Riviera Line (UK) – Run along the stunning Dawlish Sea Wall and Devon Banks with GWR’s Class 802 and Class 150/2 Sprinter. Deluxe Edition players can also drive the CrossCountry Class 220 Voyager.
- Leipzig–Dresden (Germany) – Expand the beloved Dresden route west to Leipzig, driving ICE-T high-speed services, BR 442s, freight trains, and more. Deluxe Edition adds the legendary DB BR 294 shunter for heavy yard work.
From local commuter runs to long-distance express trains and heavy freight, each route offers unique challenges and scenic details.
Expect the Unexpected
For the first time, players must deal with random events while on service:
- Signal delays
- Temporary speed restrictions
- Equipment faults
No two journeys are the same, and drivers must stay alert to adapt to unexpected issues and keep their trains running on time.
Adding even more realism are audible announcements on trains and platforms, immersing players in the sounds of daily operations.
New Ways to Play
Train Sim World 6 expands beyond driving with new modes and features:
- Free Roam – Explore any route at your own pace, using your favorite trains.
- Conductor Mode – Step into the role of conductor, checking tickets and dispatching services.
- Creators Club – Design custom liveries and formations to personalize your fleet, then share them with the community.
All previous TSW content carries over, so veteran players can bring their full collection into the new game.
