Akupara Games has announced two new publishing partnerships: with Pixeljam — the studio behind Dino Run, Gamma Bros, and some of the most-played browser games of the mid-2000s — and Behold Studios, the Brazilian team behind Chroma Squad and Out of Space. The announcement brings both studios’ back catalogues under the Akupara umbrella, expands them to new platforms, and adds two brand new titles launching July 23: Cornhole Hero and Dino Jump, a spiritual successor to the beloved Dino Run.
The partnership joins Pixeljam and Behold Studios in a publisher catalogue that already includes Rain World and The Darkside Detective — which is to say, Akupara has a strong track record of building fanbases for cult-classic-adjacent games rather than chasing mainstream visibility. The pairing makes sense. Both studios built devoted followings in the era of browser gaming and early indie, long before “indie” was a mainstream label, and Akupara is explicitly positioned to connect that legacy to players who are new to both.
The Studios and Their Catalogues
What’s Coming July 23
Dino Jump is a spiritual successor to Dino Run — Pixeljam’s viral browser game that put them on the map and introduced millions to the studio. If Dino Run’s DNA is your nostalgia trigger, this is the new Pixeljam title to watch. Cornhole Hero is the other July 23 release, a new game from Pixeljam arriving alongside Dino Jump in their biggest launch window under the new Akupara partnership.
Both new releases launch July 23, 2026. The full Pixeljam and Behold Studios catalogues are available now on Steam through the Akupara partnership bundles.
