Gorgutz ’Ead ’Unter returns to terrorize the Blood Ravens in the first of four major faction spotlights for the upcoming RTS, Dawn of War IV.
Deep Silver and KING Art Games are kicking off the new year with maximum aggression, officially revealing the first playable faction for the highly anticipated Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV. In a new in-game CGI narrative sequence, the developers have confirmed that the Orks are back, loud, reckless, and ready for war.
This reveal is the first of four planned cinematic introductions, each designed to spotlight the unique armies players will command when the game launches on PC in 2026.
The Green Tide Rises Over Kronus
The new trailer focuses on a fan-favorite character from the franchise’s history: Gorgutz ’Ead ’Unter, the self-proclaimed Warboss of the Bad Moons. Known for his brutal cunning and penchant for survival, Gorgutz is shown launching a surprise boarding action against a Blood Raven vessel orbiting the world of Kronus—a setting deeply familiar to veterans of the Dark Crusade expansion.
The cinematic captures the chaotic violence of the 41st Millennium. As the Orks clash with the Space Marines, we see the return of key Blood Raven figures. Chief Librarian Jonah Orion is depicted unleashing devastating psychic attacks to stem the green tide, while Captain Cyrus utilizes precision sniping from a secure position to slow the advance.
However, the sheer ferocity of the Ork assault proves overwhelming. With the ship sustaining critical damage, the Blood Ravens are forced to abandon the vessel and make a combat drop to the surface of Kronus. But the retreat offers no safety; Gorgutz and his boyz are right on their heels, setting the stage for a massive planetary conflict.

With the Orks now unleashed, fans are eagerly awaiting news on which factions will rise to meet them. Will the Eldar return to manipulate fate? Is the Imperial Guard preparing to hold the line? Or is Chaos waiting in the warp?
