Dig Dig Die: Grave Robbing Meets Gambling in New Horror Game

Dig Dig Die

Dig Dig Die

Alice Games reveals a new 6-player “slop co-op” survival game, Dig Dig Die, featuring flying ships, cursed loot, and high-stakes gambling.

Developer Alice Games, the studio behind the mobile hit Darkest AFK, is making the jump to PC with a chaotic new multiplayer title. Today, the studio announced Dig Dig Die, an online co-op horror game for 1-6 players that turns grave robbing into a panic-induced fight for survival.

Coming soon to PC via Steam, Dig Dig Die embraces the “slop co-op” aesthetic, throwing players into cursed graveyards where every shovel strike could result in riches or ruin.

Grave Robbing from the Skies

The premise of Dig Dig Die is delightfully unhinged: players take on the role of pirates who raid graveyards from a cursed flying ship. Armed with shovels, crowbars, and “questionable weapons,” crews drop down to the surface to dig up coffins and crypts in search of valuable loot.

However, the ground is not safe. Digging too deep carries risks. While some coffins contain powerful buffs like super speed or high jumps, others harbor curses or—worse—monsters that burst straight out of the earth.

The game heavily utilizes proximity voice chat, but with a twist. The game features various voice effects that players can use, but making too much noise (or screaming in terror) can attract the entities lurking in the dark.

Casinos, UFOs, and Chaos

Survival isn’t the only mechanic at play; greed is a major factor. Between raids, players return to their flying ship hub to gear up at vending machines or gamble their hard-earned loot. The ship features a fully functional casino with blackjack, roulette, and thimbles, allowing players to multiply their earnings or lose everything in seconds.

The gameplay loop promises emergent chaos, whether it’s betraying your crewmates to escape with the haul, accidentally summoning a monster, or getting abducted mid-run by a random UFO.

“Dig Dig Die supports up to six players online, making it a perfect fit for chaotic friend groups and unpredictable voice chat moments,” Alice Games stated in the announcement.
