Pikuniku 2

Game: Pikuniku 2 Developers: Arnaud & Remi (original Pikuniku creators) Publisher: Devolver Digital Genre: 3D Adventure / Puzzle / Whimsy Platforms: PC (Steam) · Nintendo Switch 2 Release: 2027

Devolver Digital has announced Pikuniku 2 — an all-new 3D sequel to the beloved 2019 adventure game, returning with original creators Arnaud and Remi at the helm. Coming to PC and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, Pikuniku 2 takes the series into three dimensions for the first time, opening up a vibrant archipelago for Piku to explore in full bold-colour 3D.

The premise begins with an escaped sandwich and a shipwreck — which scatters Piku’s friends across the archipelago — and only escalates from there. The broader plot involves malevolent robot frogs, giant fruit, and an all-powerful potato, alongside a genuine deep state conspiracy where a sinister force is squeezing the people for every drop of profit beneath the cheerful exterior of Piku’s world. Join the resistance.

What’s New — Full 3D and All the Whimsy

The original Pikuniku was a 2D adventure defined by its deceptively cheerful aesthetic, gentle political satire, and puzzles that were more charming than they were challenging. The sequel keeps all of that but makes the leap into 3D, which the team is leaning into as a genuine design expansion: more navigation options, more exploration possibilities, and “puzzle-ation” across an archipelago of islands each populated with odd folk who all have a story to tell. The sense of gentle bafflement that defined the first game — the feeling that nobody, least of all Piku, is entirely sure what is happening — appears to be very much intact.

Pikuniku 2 — Key Features

Full 3D — First Time in the Series The series makes the jump to three dimensions, opening up entirely new possibilities for navigation, exploration, and puzzle design across a multi-island archipelago.
Deep State Conspiracies Beneath the vibrant exterior, a sinister plot squeezes the people for profit. Join the resistance — the original Pikuniku’s gentle political satire returns, bigger and weirder.
Playful Puzzles Piku’s surprising abilities unlock solutions to increasingly strange puzzles. The challenge never outpaces the fun.
Strange Encounters A cast of odd folk across the archipelago, each with tall tales involving giant fruit, malevolent robot frogs, and an all-powerful potato. Nobody is entirely sure what is happening. That’s fine.
Eye-Melting Environments Bold primary colours rendered in full 3D — a visually brazen world that holds no fear for the vibrant and the strange.
