Capcom’s long-awaited sci-fi adventure gets a release date, a surprise next-gen Nintendo port, and a playable demo available today on Steam.
After years of mystery and delays, Capcom finally broke the silence on PRAGMATA at The Game Awards 2025 today. The enigmatic sci-fi action-adventure is officially scheduled to launch on April 24, 2026.
In a surprise announcement that stole the show, Capcom confirmed that the title will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will also be a day-one title for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Play the ‘Sketchbook’ Demo Today
Players don’t have to wait until 2026 to get their hands on the game. Capcom announced that a playable demo, titled the PRAGMATA Sketchbook, is now available on Steam.
The demo introduces players to the game’s unique “hacking” combat mechanics and the bond between the main protagonist, the spacefarer Hugh, and his android companion, Diana. While the demo is currently exclusive to PC, Capcom has stated it will arrive on consoles at a later date.
Pre-Orders and Editions
Pre-orders are now live across all platforms. Capcom detailed two editions for the game:
- Standard Edition ($59.99)
- Deluxe Edition ($69.99): Includes the “Shelter Variety Pack,” featuring alternate outfits (like “Heavy Lifter” for Hugh and “Mecha Builder” for Diana), weapon skins, extra shelter BGM tracks, and a digital art library.
Pre-Order Bonuses: Early adopters will receive the Neo Bushido outfit for Hugh and the Neo Kunoichi outfit for Diana, giving the duo a Sengoku-period samurai and ninja aesthetic.
What is PRAGMATA?
Set on a dystopian lunar research station in the near future, PRAGMATA follows Hugh and Diana as they attempt to escape back to Earth. The game emphasizes co-op mechanics (in single-player control) where the two characters must use their distinct skills—Hugh’s combat gear and Diana’s android abilities—to hack hostile robots and traverse the cold, zero-g environments of the moon.
