Saber Interactive has announced Stuntman: Hollywood — a new entry in the classic stunt-racing series — during Sony’s State of Play Showcase. Developed in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, the game is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and puts players in the driver’s seat for cinematic stunts inspired by some of the most iconic vehicles and scenarios from Universal Pictures films and NBCUniversal television series.

The lineup of licensed franchises is the first major talking point: Fast & Furious, Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, and Death Race are all confirmed, with K.I.T.T. and the DeLorean Time Machine among the driveable vehicles. For fans of the original Stuntman games — which had players executing precise stunt sequences on behalf of in-universe film directors — the return of the series under Saber Interactive, the studio behind Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and Jurassic Park: Survival, is a significant announcement.

“The classic Stuntman game was so memorable for me, it’s always been a dream to recreate such a legend of gaming history and evolve it into something new. At Saber, we love working with classic IPs, and we’re excited to team up again with Universal to bring back a true adrenaline rush for fans.” — Tim Willits, Chief Creative Officer, Saber Interactive

Licensed Franchises Confirmed

Five licensed properties are confirmed at announcement, spanning both film and television:

Fast & Furious Back to the Future Knight Rider Miami Vice Death Race

The confirmation of K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider and the Time Machine from Back to the Future as driveable vehicles signals that the game isn’t just using franchise names for branding — iconic vehicles from the source material are playable. More licensed IPs are expected to be revealed as development progresses.
