HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate Drops New Gameplay Trailer and It Looks Like SSX Is Back

HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate

HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate

Acclaim and Mexican indie studio Wabisabi Games — the team behind RKGK / Rakugaki — have dropped a new gameplay trailer for HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate during the Latin American Games Showcase, and it’s looking like exactly the SSX fix the genre has needed for a long time.

The new footage gives the best look yet at the game’s ramp-stacked tracks, colorful cast of characters, over-the-top tricks, and the kind of vibrant Y2K energy that made the original SSX and Jet Grind Radio so beloved. Wabisabi clearly knows the assignment.

The game features four modes: Challenge for objective-based high score runs, Race for competitive speed runs where tricks feed your boost meter, Chill for an endless freeride mode with hidden secrets, and Multiplayer supporting up to eight players online or local split-screen. There is also a mode where you bomb the slopes as a sentient snowboarding taco. That’s a feature. It’s listed in the key features. We respect it.

Wabisabi CEO Anwar Noriega noted the team has been energized, seeing both nostalgic players revisiting the Y2K era through the game and a new generation discovering this style of arcade sports for the first time.

HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate is coming to Steam and all modern consoles later in 2026.
