Dying Light: The Beast - Update 1.4

Dying Light: The Beast - Update 1.4

The standalone survival horror adventure gets its biggest content injection yet, adding replayability and visual overhauls just in time for the holidays.

Techland has officially released Update 1.4 for Dying Light: The Beast, marking the “largest and most significant update” since the game’s launch in September. This massive patch introduces long-awaited features like New Game+, Legend Levels, and full Ray Tracing support on PC, alongside over 400 fixes and improvements.

The update aims to strengthen the game’s position as a premier open-world survival horror experience, offering veterans new ways to play while smoothing out the experience for newcomers.

New Game+ and Legend Levels

For players who have already conquered the 40+ hour campaign, the update adds significant end-game depth.

Visuals and Technical Overhaul

On the technical front, Update 1.4 brings Ray Tracing to the PC version, delivering realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections that enhance the eerie atmosphere of Castor Woods.

Beyond the visual candy, the patch addresses over 70 graphical issues (including texture and clipping fixes) and resolves more than 200 parkour and navigation issues. These changes, driven largely by community feedback, aim to make traversal smoother and the world more immersive.

Limited-Time Events and Rewards

To celebrate the update, Techland is offering incentives for both new and returning players:

Dying Light: The Beast is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
