Plum Road Tea Dream, the autobiographical adventure game from Samuel Baidoo and REVEAL Game Studio, has confirmed its release date: July 27, 2026 on PC via Steam. The announcement comes alongside a new official release trailer, following an earlier confirmation of a July window. Baidoo is an IGF Nuovo Award finalist, and the game has received support from the Flanders Audiovisual Fund.
Plum Road Tea Dream is described as an autobiographical adventure about pain, identity, and the rituals we create to heal. Players assist the character S. in working through different types of grief, with the game asking players to slow down, reflect, and sit with the experience rather than push through it. The game weaves autobiographical experiences from Baidoo’s own life into its narrative.
About the Game
Baidoo’s work as a creator and performer consistently draws from autobiographical experience — building an archive of images, text fragments, film stills, music, and cultural references that then become the raw material for new work. Plum Road Tea Dream is that process made into a game: a personal document that invites the player into its world of grief, queerness, and self-recognition rather than asking them to solve or escape it.
Credentials
The IGF Nuovo Award recognises games that expand the definition of what the medium can be — past finalists and winners include some of the most distinct and formally adventurous indie games of the last decade. Plum Road Tea Dream joins that company ahead of its late July launch.
