Arc Games and Cryptic Studios have launched Star Trek Online: Undiscovered, the latest season of the long-running free-to-play Star Trek MMORPG. Available now on PC and landing on PlayStation and Xbox on July 29, Undiscovered begins a ground-up reimagining of one of Star Trek Online’s most beloved legacy storylines — “The Ultimate Klingon” — bringing it back with sixteen years of accumulated craft, returning Star Trek: Voyager cast members, and a new procedural gameplay system that changes how captains explore Sector Space.
This update also continues STO’s celebration of the Star Trek franchise’s 60th Anniversary, returning to a story arc with connections across multiple Star Trek series and films. More than sixteen years after launch, Cryptic Studios is still expanding Star Trek Online — and Undiscovered is one of the most substantive legacy content revisits in the game’s history.
Return to 2409 for the first episode of the reimagined “Ultimate Klingon” arc. Lieutenant Miral Paris (Lisa LoCicero) and The Doctor (Robert Picardo) work to forge peace between the Federation and the Klingons — before Ambassador B’vat’s more sinister agenda derails any hope for it. This is a rebuilding of one of STO’s defining early narratives using sixteen years of improved tools and storytelling craft.

Deep Space Encounters
A new procedural and repeatable gameplay system reshaping how players experience Sector Space. Travel the Alpha, Beta, and Delta Quadrants for unique missions with randomised objectives, enemies, and environments each run. Completing Deep Space Encounters earns bonus Endeavor XP and Daily Event Progress — and unlocks account-wide ability boosts across the season.
