A sequel to the multi-award-winning CONTROL, CONTROL Resonant takes the action out of the Oldest House and into a reality-warping Manhattan engulfed by a paranatural crisis. You play as Dylan Faden, mastering his supernatural abilities and his shapeshifting melee weapon, the Aberrant, as he battles the Hiss, the Mold and other twisted threats while searching for his missing sister, FBC Director Jesse Faden.
What Remedy Had to Say
“One million copies is a very strong start. CONTROL Resonant is Remedy’s first self-published release of this scale, launched into one of the most competitive windows in years alongside the industry’s biggest names,” said Remedy CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon. “The game is unmistakably Remedy, with the bold ideas and distinctive style our players have come to expect from us.”
“We have always believed CONTROL deserved an even bigger audience, and this launch shows what’s possible,” Gaudechon continued. “With CONTROL and Alan Wake, we now have two established franchises. Our focus is to build on what makes them special, support them, and grow them even further. There is a lot more to come from these worlds.“
What We Thought
We reviewed CONTROL Resonant at launch and gave it an 8.5/10, calling it a reality-warping action RPG with mind-bending combat and a genuinely unsettling atmosphere, even if that combat takes a while to click. Our take: it’s an essential play for anyone who loved Control, and a great one for anyone after something genuinely different. You can read our full CONTROL Resonant review.
