For years, Arizona Sunshine was one of the best-selling VR games of all time, known for its gruesome humour and limb-severing zombie action. Now Vertigo Games is bringing the series to regular PC and consoles, reimagined as an accessible third-person co-op shooter.
It’s built on the story of Arizona Sunshine VR 2, following Sunny, a dark-humoured survivor who’s spent way too much time alone in the desert talking to the undead he calls “Fred”, and his fiercely loyal, zombie-chomping dog Buddy. And for the first time ever, Buddy is fully playable in co-op.

In Arizona Sunshine, you join Sunny and Buddy on a sun-drenched, gore-splattered road trip across the zombie-infested Arizona wasteland. It’s a witty, frantic story about survival, loneliness and the bond between a man and his dog, and Vertigo’s new trailer puts that friendship front and centre.
