FROSTHAVEN, the digital adaptation of Isaac Childres’ critically acclaimed board game, has its 1.0 release date: October 15, 2026. Snapshot Games and publisher Arc Games confirmed the launch window alongside a retrospective of the game’s Early Access development, detailing the full slate of content arriving with the complete release on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
FROSTHAVEN is the sequel to Gloomhaven — the board game that helped define legacy-style dungeon crawlers — and its tabletop version holds the distinction of being the most-funded board game in Kickstarter history. The digital adaptation has been in Early Access with Snapshot Games at the helm, steadily expanding the roster of playable heroes, refining onboarding, and incorporating player feedback. October 15 brings the complete package.

About the Game
FROSTHAVEN is a dark fantasy tactical RPG adaptation of the board game of the same name — itself a spiritual successor to Gloomhaven. Players venture into the unforgiving frozen north of Embervale, building parties from the game’s 17 hero classes, managing resources carefully across a gripping campaign, and battling menacing enemies across diverse environments. Every decision matters: balancing risk and reward, finding synergies between party classes, and managing limited resources are all central to survival.
The game is designed for both board game veterans who know the source material and complete newcomers — difficulty modes are tailored to experience level, and the improved onboarding systems and UX added during Early Access are specifically intended to lower the barrier for players new to Frosthaven or Gloomhaven’s systems.
