🍲 Gobble Inn’s Kickstarter is live, and its demo is out now on Steam.Spilt Milk Studios, the creators of Trash Goblin, opened pledges on October 29 for their next game, a cosy run-based adventure where you dig through a mine for ingredients to feed hungry goblins, lizardfolk and more. The free demo offers 2+ hours of play.

Starring Trash Goblin’s fan-favourite cantankerous goblin superstar, Aunty Val, Gobble Inn sends you into the capricious, ever-changing Chasm to gather food using cursèd trinkets and a range of unlockable tools.
Take the spoils back to the surface, tinker with recipes, feed hungry customers and raise the reputation of the Gobble Inn. Or just gobble your cooking yourself for powerups.

When we covered Gobble Inn’s reveal earlier this month, Spilt Milk promised a Kickstarter on October 29, and it’s now live, along with an early demo. It’s a fitting move for the studio, which went from Kickstarter to a full launch with Trash Goblin. Gobble Inn also has some serious voice talent: Penelope Rawlins (Baldur’s Gate 3, Genshin Impact, Metaphor: ReFantazio) plays Aunty Val, and Tim Downie, Gale himself in Baldur’s Gate 3, plays fan-favourite lizard-with-a-heart-of-gold Donoval.

Spilt Milk describes it as a soothing, relaxing roguelike with no fail states. Some people liken it to the mines in Stardew Valley without the pressure, or to Dave the Diver with digging instead of fishing.
“Gobble Inn offers a similar tone, with recognizable characters returning, albeit with a vastly different gameplay system that’s more urgent and arcadey. Since it’s such a huge pivot from Trash Goblin, we wanted to give prospective players an early look at it. That’s why we’re offering a demo so early, so our fanbase can vote with their wallets regarding what kind of experience they’d like next from Spilt Milk.”
