Indie developer Fatbot Games has officially released the Level Editor for their fast-paced boomer shooter, Gravelord. Available today as part of the game’s Early Access version on Steam, this powerful new tool invites players to “dig their own grave” by designing custom levels, episodes, and arenas.
Previously available only to a select group of playtesters, the Level Editor is now open to the entire community. Fatbot Games has designed the tool with a simplified, TrenchBroom-inspired workflow, focusing on fast, block-based mapmaking that remains accessible to newcomers while offering depth for veteran modders.

The new editor boasts several features designed to streamline the creative process:
- Intuitive Geometry Tools: Designed for rapid block-based construction.
- Hotspotting: Unique functionality for quick texturing and art placement.
- Steam Workshop Support: Full integration allows players to easily share, download, and play community-created content directly through Steam.
“The ultimate weapon was in the toolshed, not the armory!” the developers teased in the announcement, highlighting the editor’s potential to extend the game’s lifespan through community creativity.
Gravelord Halloween Mapjam 2025
To celebrate the launch, Fatbot Games is hosting the Gravelord Halloween Mapjam 2025. The event features cash prizes and is open to all creators—remarkably, you do not need to own a copy of Gravelord to participate.
Submissions for the Mapjam are open until November 23rd, giving mappers a few final days to polish their spooky, sepulchre-shaking creations.
