Developer: Fumi Games
Publisher: PlaySide Studios
Patch: v1.1.0
Platforms: Steam · PlayStation 5 · Xbox · Nintendo Switch 2 (separate patch)
Live: Now
Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios have released Patch v1.1.0 for MOUSE: P.I. For Hire — the biggest update the 1930s noir shooter has received since launch. The patch is live now on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, and covers a sweeping range of quality-of-life improvements, performance optimisations, bug fixes, and platform-specific enhancements that address many of the rougher edges in the launch build.
Notably, Nintendo Switch 2 has also received its first dedicated patch separately, targeting crash fixes, quest blockers, and audio issues. A second, larger Switch 2 patch focused on performance and optimisation is already in development.
Quality of Life Highlights
◆Performance and optimisation improvements across the game
◆Alpha Widescreen support added on PC — ultrawide players can now play in widescreen (alpha stage; weapon sprites are still drawn for 16:9, so some edge clipping may be visible until a full redraw is completed)
◆The Flashlight is now rebindable across all platforms
◆Achievement and trophy unlock requirements updated for six specific milestones, with retroactive unlocks for players who have already met the criteria
◆Double Jump, Grappling Tail, and Portable Freezer can no longer be unintentionally skipped in their respective levels
◆Detective Brush directional helper in Fart Harbor updated to better highlight the path
◆Film Grain Effect setting now works correctly in-game
◆Updated ammo placement across levels
◆Final boss in Curdsville rebalanced — damage rate, projectile timings, cooldowns, and spawn rate adjusted
◆Discord and Customer Support links added directly to the Main Menu

A second, more substantial Switch 2 patch is already in progress and will focus on performance and optimisation improvements — an update the team says more details will follow on in the coming weeks.
The full patch notes are available on the MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Steam page. If you haven’t played yet, check out our April review linked above — and if you have, v1.1.0 is a good reason to jump back in.
