⚖️ Barbie’s World Is a Surprisingly Good Fit for a Cleaning Game
On paper, it sounds like a random licence. In practice, it makes a lot of sense.
PowerWash Simulator is a game about surfaces. The joy is in watching grime lift off different materials and textures. The Barbie Pack is built around exactly that: FuturLab describes it as designed with bright colours, embossed plastic, smooth surfaces and playful details, with plenty of nods to Barbie playsets along the way.
So you’re not just cleaning things that happen to be pink. You’re cleaning the shiny plastic world of Barbie’s toys, which is about as satisfying a set of surfaces as a powerwashing game could ask for.
It’s also squarely in the series’ tradition. The first PowerWash Simulator built much of its long life on licensed DLC packs — Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy VII and SpongeBob SquarePants among them — and the sequel is picking up where that left off.

UK studio FuturLab and Mattel have announced the PowerWash Simulator 2 Barbie™ Pack, a new DLC that brings the colour and style of Barbie into FuturLab’s relaxing cleaning sim. It launches later this year for $7.99 / £6.50 / €7.99.
The pack adds five colourful new jobs inspired by Barbie playsets, running from a Dream Camper to the Barbie DreamHouse. It also includes a custom Barbie power washer and character, so you can bring a distinctly pink twist to your cleaning.
