🍽️ “Everything in Between” Is Doing a Lot of Work
Every Steam themed fest has an eligibility line, and Cooking Fest’s is refreshingly broad. According to Valve’s Steamworks event page, it’s for games “about cooking, feeding people, and everything in between.”
So it isn’t just games about chopping onions against a timer. Running a restaurant, feeding customers, gathering ingredients and cooking up meals as part of a bigger adventure can all fit. Valve’s own announcement calls it a mix of cooking and cooking-adjacent titles, so the fest page should be a well-stocked pantry rather than a single dish.

Valve’s announcement admits the Steam Team wrote a pile of cooking puns, got “terse feedback,” and took them all out, with one team member still protesting. The trailer, apparently, escaped the edit.
