Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest is an all-new turn-based RPG inspired by the enormously popular Warrior Cats novel series, coming this fall to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
You create your own original character, choose a Clan, and play through previously untold stories from the Warrior Cats world — exploring, climbing, tracking scents through familiar territories, and encountering both original characters and iconic cats from the books.
Four Clans, Four Full Campaigns
The courageous. Forest-dwellers with a reputation for bravery.
The graceful. At home in the water where others won’t follow.
The cunning. Marsh-dwellers who fight with their heads.
The swift. Moorland runners built for open ground.
This is the announcement’s most substantial promise. Each Clan gets its own complete story campaign shaped by its culture, conflicts and traditions, with distinct prophecies, rivalries, characters and challenges. That’s four routes through the forest rather than one story with a cosmetic faction pick — a meaningfully bigger commitment, and exactly what a fandom this invested in Clan identity would want.
Make Your Own Cat
That’s not an exaggeration. Warrior Cats OC creation is a genuine cultural pillar of this fandom — it’s what a vast amount of the community’s art, roleplay and Roblox activity is built around. Getting the creator right is table stakes.
The den-visiting feature is the smartest inclusion here. Asynchronous social space is a low-pressure way to let players display the character they’ve built, and for an audience that has historically done its sharing on external platforms, giving them somewhere in-game to be seen is a genuinely well-judged call.
Timing, tactics and specialised Clan moves against rival warriors, predators and bosses — plus ancestor attacks granted by StarClan.
Forests, marshes and moorlands alongside sacred landmarks including the Moonpool and the Island, with hidden paths and environmental puzzles.
Choices shape your journey through a world of prophecies and spiritual omens, with distinct story paths per playthrough.
Rise through the ranks as your actions shape relationships, rivalries and reputation, contributing to your Clan’s growth.
Just How Big Is Warrior Cats?
Those Roblox and TikTok figures are the ones worth pausing on. They describe an audience that has been building its own Warrior Cats games and content for years, at enormous scale, largely because a full official RPG hasn’t existed. That’s a lot of latent demand for a properly resourced turn-based game with real Clan campaigns.
Put simply: this is a much bigger deal than a casual observer would guess from the premise. Warrior Cats is a genuine publishing phenomenon with a fandom that has been actively making its own version of this game for a decade.
Who’s Making It
TRAILMARK is quickly assembling a recognisable identity around licensed adaptations — Clans of the Forest arrives alongside their Walking Dead beat-’em-up, Streets of Survival, which launches September 18. Two very different franchises, same stated philosophy: games “worthy of the fans, worthy of the franchises.”
Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest arrives Fall 2026 on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
