Valve’s first major seasonal event of the year brings massive discounts across the entire storefront. “Experts” agree: it is officially time to clear out your wishlist.
As the snow melts and the weather finally warms up, nature has a beautiful way of signaling the change of the seasons. The birds start chirping, the flowers begin to bloom, and PC gamers everywhere instinctively check their bank account balances in pure terror.
Valve has officially announced that the highly anticipated Steam Spring Sale will launch tomorrow, March 19th, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Running for exactly one week until March 26th, this event marks the first major seasonal blowout of 2026, bringing thousands of massive discounts across every single genre on the storefront.
Here is everything you need to know before the digital floodgates open.
Trust the “Experts”
To build the hype, the Steam Team dropped a brilliantly self-aware launch trailer narrated by a voiceover insisting that “experts” confirm the Spring Sale is the first official sign of the season.
Of course, the narrator quickly breaks character to admit that they didn’t actually consult any experts, they can’t pronounce the word “psychological,” and the entire script was just written because it sounded cool. But despite the lack of peer-reviewed data, the trailer does a fantastic job of highlighting the sheer variety of titles having their prices slashed this week.
A Glimpse at the Discount Roster
While the full list of discounted games will not be revealed until the clock strikes 10 a.m. tomorrow, the official trailer revealed an impressive lineup of heavy hitters and indie darlings confirmed for the sale.
Whether you are looking to manage a medieval kingdom, survive a plane crash, or orchestrate high-speed vehicular destruction, there is something on the board for everyone:
- Survival & Exploration: No Man’s Sky, DAVE THE DIVER, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™, Terraria, Raft, The Forest, and Sons Of The Forest.
- Horror & Psychological Thrills: Phasmophobia, Pathologic 3, The Outlast Trials, and the sci-fi horror of ROUTINE.
- Cozy & Simulation: Satisfactory, A Little to the Left, Euro Truck Simulator 2, and the highly anticipated road-trip sim RV There Yet?.
- Action & Strategy: Manor Lords, Ready or Not, MENACE, BeamNG.drive, and the VR/Flat-screen tabletop crossover Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked.
- Comedy & Chaos: The magical mayhem of YAPYAP, the rhythm-action of UNBEATABLE, and Strange Antiquities.
Deep Discounts & Hidden Gems
Valve also confirmed that this seasonal sale will once again feature a dedicated section on the front page specifically highlighting games with exceptionally deep discounts. If you have been holding out for older AAA titles to drop below the $10 mark or looking to scoop up a massive bundle of indie games for the price of a cup of coffee, this is where you will want to start your browsing.
