Saber Interactive and IO Interactive have announced Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered — a faithfully remastered collection of the three original Hitman games that defined the stealth genre at the turn of the millennium. Coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2027, the collection bundles Hitman: Codename 47 (2000), Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (2002), and Hitman: Contracts (2004) with enhanced visuals, an instant graphics toggle between original and remastered, and a new Photo Mode. Wishlist pages are live now.
For a generation of PC gamers, these three games were the foundation of the modern stealth genre — and for many, they’ve never been playable at all on current hardware. The announcement is significant: the classic trilogy has been largely unavailable on modern platforms, and this collection represents the first time all three games will be accessible together with preserved systems and a modernised presentation. Saber brings a strong remastering track record to the project, including the Tomb Raider I-III and IV-VI remasters, and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered.
The Three Games
The trilogy spans the full arc of Agent 47’s early design evolution — from Codename 47’s raw, open-ended experimentation to Silent Assassin’s refined stealth systems and scoring to Contracts’ darker, more psychological and atmospheric tone. Playing all three in sequence is the clearest possible picture of how IO Interactive developed the design philosophy that eventually became the World of Assassination trilogy.
