Dead by Daylight’s 10th anniversary broadcast delivered one of the biggest single showcases in the game’s history — new Chapters, new Killers, community collaborations, cosmetic collections spanning Silent Hill and Scooby-Doo, a new game mode suite, a full visual overhaul, sandboxed modding support, and a Blumhouse film update with a director reveal. Behaviour Interactive brought thousands of fans to Montreal’s Old Port for the celebration before taking to the stage for the broadcast, and the slate they revealed is genuinely substantial. June 16, 2026 — All Platforms
Jason Voorhees finally enters The Fog after a decade of fan demand. The Friday the 13th icon is the first Chapter out of this anniversary broadcast.
Dead by Daylight: The Life Road
June 25, 2026 — All Platforms
A Survivor-focused Chapter featuring Shane Wiigwaas — Dead by Daylight’s first Indigenous Survivor. An original character Chapter following closely behind Jason.
Dead by Daylight: Chorus of Sin
August 2026
The game’s first-ever Chapter developed entirely in collaboration with the Dead by Daylight community. A genuine milestone for Behaviour’s relationship with its player base.
Dead by Daylight: Terrifier
November 2026
Art the Clown enters The Entity’s Realm. Following the breakout success of the Terrifier franchise, the horror icon joins DbD’s roster this autumn.
The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter
2027 — Early Announcement
An adaptation of Dead by Daylight’s first narrative-driven title enters The Fog. The Casting of Frank Stone crosses into the main game as a playable Chapter.
The Future of Dead by Daylight — 2027 and Beyond
The broadcast’s most significant long-term announcements concerned the game’s visual overhaul, new game modes, and the opening of the game to community modding — all targeting 2027.
Major Changes Coming in 2027
◆Full visual overhaul: new character model reworks with expanded animation capabilities, realistic facial animations, enhanced map lighting/shading/textures, improved Fog and Mist effects, stronger Entity presence, and — for the first time — dynamic weather (light rain, heavy rain, storms)
◆New voice lines for all applicable original characters, recorded and introduced over time as part of the visual initiative
◆1v1 Mode — early details shared
◆Zombie Mode — early details shared
◆Sandboxed modding tools — allowing players to create, share, and experiment with new Maps, Modes, and more. Tools currently in development, targeting sometime in 2027
The Dead by Daylight Movie
Behaviour Interactive Executive Vice President Stephen Mulrooney and Blumhouse Atomic Monster producer Jason Blum appeared together to update fans on the Dead by Daylight film. The screenplay — by Alexandre Aja and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick — is already completed. Director Thordur Palsson was revealed and invited onstage to share his vision for the adaptation. No release window was announced.

Ten years into The Fog and Dead by Daylight is adding Jason Voorhees, Art the Clown, Scooby-Doo, a community-designed Chapter, a Blumhouse film in production, and a full game visual overhaul. The next decade has a strong opening move.
