Xbox Series X|S edition continues development — launch planned for Spring 2027.
Enshrouded has a release date. Keen Games has confirmed that the survival action RPG will leave Early Access and launch its full 1.0 version on October 15, 2026, for Windows PC and PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro). After more than two years in Early Access, eight major content updates, and over five million players, the Flameborn’s journey gets its complete release this October.
The Xbox Series X|S version won’t be launching alongside PC and PS5. Keen Games confirmed that the complexity of Enshrouded’s deep terraforming and voxel building systems made a simultaneous cross-platform launch impractical without compromising quality — Xbox Series X|S is now planned for Spring 2027.
Launch Platforms and Dates
Full 1.0 launch — exits Early Access after January 2024 entry.
Day-one console launch alongside PC. PS5 Pro enhanced version included.
Still in development. Delayed to allow full quality polish on console build.
What Is Enshrouded?
Set across the voxel-based continent of Embervale, Enshrouded is a co-op survival action RPG where players take the role of the Flameborn — the last hope of a dying race — venturing into a corrupted world to reclaim a lost kingdom. The Shroud is a corrupting fog that covers much of the land, hiding rare treasures and dangerous creatures while degrading everything it touches. Players build bases, craft gear, battle bosses, and push into the Shroud to uncover the story beneath Embervale’s ruins.
Since its Early Access launch in January 2024, Keen Games shipped eight major content updates adding three new biomes, dynamic water, new weapons, armour, creatures, base materials, decorations, and extensive building improvements. Players have used the voxel building tools to recreate real-world castles, fill bases with weapon racks and feast tables, and generally abuse the sandbox in creative ways that made the developers proud.
Key Features
Keen Games has confirmed post-1.0 support is planned — the studio intends to continue adding content to Enshrouded across all platforms beyond the October launch. More details on 1.0 content specifically are expected this summer.
