If you’ve played Wingspan on a console or PC, you’ve already seen what Monster Couch does. The Poznań studio has built its reputation on turning award-winning tabletop games into digital versions that feel right — first Wingspan, then Quilts and Cats of Calico.
Flamecraft is their newest adaptation, bringing the popular board game about artisan dragons and enchanted shops to four platforms at once.
What stands out is how much of the launch is about getting people playing together, and getting new players started. In Flamecraft, you’re a Flamekeeper, helping artisan dragons and shopkeepers delight the townspeople of a whimsical shopping district. You gather and manage resources, cast enchantments to improve the shops, and work your way toward becoming the Master of Flamecraft. It supports one to five players.

Flamecraft includes a fully narrated, interactive tutorial voiced by Becca Scott, a familiar voice to many tabletop fans. She walks you through the mechanics while introducing the world and its characters.
It’s the second board game adaptation this week to put onboarding front and centre — Frosthaven’s 1.0 update is doing the same with its new “Road to Frosthaven” introduction. Teaching players has always been the hardest part of bringing tabletop games to screens, and it’s good to see studios treating it as a feature rather than an afterthought.
What’s Next for Monster Couch
Monster Couch isn’t slowing down. The studio is currently developing Wyrmspan, the dragon-themed follow-up to Wingspan, and also specialises in porting games to consoles and mobile platforms.
