Maximum Entertainment has announced that Instant Sports 2, developed by Breakfirst Games, is now available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The sequel to the hit family sports series — the original Instant Sports sold more than 1.5 million units worldwide — is out today for digital purchase, with physical editions arriving September 15 across EMEA and September 30 in North America.
Built around the pick-up-and-play spirit that made the franchise a couch-multiplayer staple, Instant Sports 2 bundles ten sports into one vibrant package, adds deeper character customization, and wraps it all in an explorable sports park hub. It’s fast, accessible, and squarely aimed at the whole family — but with enough depth to reward players who want to actually master each discipline.
Ten Sports, One Couch
The heart of Instant Sports 2 is variety. Ten different sports span the familiar and the delightfully unexpected — you’ll rally in tennis and padel, sink putts in mini-golf, trade blows in boxing, then throw yourself off a cliff in base jumping or paddle through the rapids in rafting. It’s the kind of grab-bag lineup that keeps a living room full of players cycling through favorites all night.
Crucially, this is all built for playing together. Local multiplayer supports up to four players simultaneously on the same screen, and everyone earns tickets based on their score and ranking — turning every session into a friendly scramble for the top spot and the spoils that come with it.
Baseball, base jumping, mini-golf, mountain biking, tennis, boxing, rafting, padel, and more — a huge spread of easy-to-learn disciplines in one package.
Play solo or with up to four players together on the same screen, earning tickets based on your score and ranking every match.
Spend earned tickets in the in-game shop to unlock outfits, equipment, and visual effects, personalizing your character with a look all your own.
Explore an expansive sports park with vibrant themed zones, each home to its own unique sport — a colorful world to roam between events.
Made for Families
Instant Sports 2 delivers fast-paced, easy-to-pick-up gameplay with enough depth for players who want to master each discipline — a balance that’s kept the franchise popular with newcomers and families since its debut. The accessible-but-deep design is very much the Breakfirst Games signature, and the sequel doubles down on it with the biggest sports lineup and customization suite the series has offered yet.
Instant Sports 2 is available now to purchase digitally on the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Store, with physical editions arriving September 15 in EMEA and September 30 in North America. For more information, visit instantsports2.com or follow @MaximumEntmt on X.
