Developer 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver have opened pre-orders for METRO 2039 across all platforms, along with a new pre-order trailer. There are three editions to choose from: Standard, Deluxe and a Collector’s Edition with a wearable replica of The Stranger’s Spartan helmet. Here’s everything you need to know about each one.
Pre-Order Bonus: The Specialist Pack
The Specialist Pack is a universal pre-order bonus, so you’ll get it whichever edition you choose. It includes three blueprints, which unlock three unique, swappable backpack upgrades early. Blueprints are new to METRO 2039, and they encourage exploration by letting you craft upgrades and attachments for your weapons and gear. You can only equip one pouch at a time, so choose wisely:

The Collector’s Edition
If you want to own a tangible piece of Metro history, the Collector’s Edition comes with an authentic, battle-scarred wearable replica of The Stranger’s Spartan helmet, plus the full physical Deluxe Edition: the game disc, an exclusive SteelBook, a hardback art book, the Story Expansion DLC, and the digital art book and soundtrack. Early reports suggest Collector’s Edition stock is moving fast, so don’t wait too long if you want one.
Made in Ukraine and Malta
METRO 2039 is being developed in Ukraine, amid Russia’s ongoing full-scale invasion, and in Malta. 4A Games was founded in Kyiv in 2005 and is now headquartered in Malta, with most of its 200+ person team still in Ukraine.
