ATLUS dropped two of the biggest RPG announcements of the year during today’s Xbox Games Showcase: a teaser for Persona 6, the long-awaited next mainline entry in the legendary Persona series, and a confirmed February 18, 2027 release date for Persona 4 Revival, the full remake of one of the most beloved JRPGs ever made. Pre-orders for Persona 4 Revival on Xbox are open now, with PlayStation 5 and Steam to follow.
Both games are confirmed for Xbox Game Pass Day One. Both are Xbox Play Anywhere titles. Both trailers are available to watch right now. The Persona series has sold over 30 million copies worldwide, and this double announcement represents the franchise’s most significant moment since Persona 5 Royal’s multi-platform rollout.
Persona 6 is confirmed and coming — a bold new standalone story with a new cast of characters, carrying forward the Persona series’ signature blend of daily life social simulation and supernatural dungeon combat. No release window has been confirmed beyond “after Persona 4 Revival.” Details beyond the teaser will follow in the months ahead.
Persona 4 Revival is a full reimagining of the 2008 classic — enhanced visuals, improved gameplay, modern quality-of-life updates, and a modernised aesthetic that brings Inaba’s murder mystery back to life for both veterans and first-timers. Arriving as a transfer student, you’ll spend an unforgettable year uncovering the truth behind bizarre murders and a mysterious TV channel, building bonds with new friends while fighting supernatural threats through the TV world.
