Future Friends Games — the publisher behind CloverPit and Slots & Daggers — has announced that STICKER/BALL, the gloriously chaotic roguelike from solo developer Bilge, is launching on Steam on May 4th.
If you’re struggling to put a label on it, you’re not alone. Kotaku described it as a game where they had “no idea at all what is happening here” and loved it for exactly that reason. The closest elevator pitch? Pool pinball meets deckbuilder roguelike — with stickers.
Here’s the gist: you fire balls, balls hit dice, dice earn you points, and ricochets earn you even more. Along the way, you unlock stickers — spiders, poop, clowns, and plenty of other oddities — each with its own bizarre interactions. Poop attracts flies. Spiders spin webs. Webs catch flies. Flies mean points. Stack enough of these interactions, and you’ve got yourself a genuinely unhinged combo machine.
Battle through 36 dastardly opponents, unlock over 100 unique stickers, and keep the chaos going for as long as your ball supply holds out. Run dry, and it’s game over — but you carry your knowledge into the next run.
Oh, and frogs can hijack spaceships. That’s a feature, apparently.
STICKER/BALL is the work of solo dev Bilge, previously known for the creepy 1-bit horror game PAGER. It’s a pretty wild pivot, and from early impressions, it looks like a genuinely addictive one.
