Independent developer contresort has announced that Stickerino, its fast-paced roguelite deckbuilder, is featured in Tiny Teams Festival on Steam — and the free demo has been substantially updated to mark the occasion.
The pitch is combinatorial: you build power by stacking stickers, cards and Monstraks together, chasing increasingly absurd scores across short, replayable runs. Every run pushes you to experiment, with different ability combinations producing synergies you hadn’t planned for.
What’s in the Demo
The demo offers a complete look at the core mechanics — deckbuilding, sticker collection, and the strategic synergies between them. There’s an expanded shop system with a variety of offers, plus progression systems with unlockable content, so it’s a proper slice rather than a vertical sliver.
Two playable characters with distinct approaches also means there’s a reason to come back once you’ve finished a run, which is more than most demos in this genre offer.
The Update Is Substantial
That save system is the detail worth noting. Deckbuilders live on long sessions and interrupted runs, and a demo without saving asks players to commit in one sitting — which is exactly the barrier that stops people finishing a demo at all. Adding it before a festival appearance is a smart, player-focused call.
“Enhanced handling of explosive combos” is also a promising phrase for this genre. If a deckbuilder’s whole appeal is stacking synergies until things break, then how gracefully the game handles the moment things do break is a meaningful part of the experience.
Fifteen stickers to collect and combine in the demo, forming the backbone of your build alongside cards.
A varied roster of creatures to encounter across runs, each feeding into the combination puzzle.
A reworked shop system with a wider variety of offers, giving more control over how a run develops.
Progression systems with unlockable content, so early runs feed into what’s available later.
Who’s Making It
There’s something appropriate about a four-person team appearing in a festival explicitly built for tiny teams — and Tiny Teams is genuinely one of the better Steam events for finding games that would otherwise be invisible under the weight of the storefront.
Stickerino is due for full release later in 2026. The updated demo is free and available right now, and the game is up for wishlisting.
