⚖️ Classic Modes, but the Map Doesn’t Stay Put
Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Prop Hunt are about as familiar as multiplayer gets. Teardown makes them behave very differently, because in Teardown the level is not a fixed thing.
Every surface is voxel-simulated and fully destructible. That means a wall isn’t cover, it’s a temporary suggestion. In Capture the Flag you can tunnel your own route rather than taking the one the map offers. In Prop Hunt, a great hiding spot only lasts until somebody demolishes the room around it. In a Deathmatch, the arena you started in won’t be the arena you finish in.
That’s what makes this update more interesting than a standard multiplayer bolt-on. Teardown’s destruction has always been the point — now up to 12 people are doing it to the same building at the same time.

Tuxedo Labs has released Teardown’s online multiplayer update on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, giving console players their first chance to experience the game’s fully destructible world together. The update is free, and supports up to 12 players.
Alongside it, Mod Pack 6 arrives with 30 brand-new multiplayer-compatible mods, including fan-favourite modes like Battle Royale and Prop Hunt. The update also adds multiplayer support to dozens of mods from earlier packs.

🏚️ The Co-Op Campaign Is the Interesting One
Teardown’s campaign is built around heists: plan a route, grab the targets, get out before the alarm runs down. It works because the game lets you solve problems almost any way you can imagine.
Now you can do that with friends. All 40 missions are playable in co-op, and Tuxedo Labs points to the “unique and emergent gameplay possibilities” that come from multiple people improvising at once.
One person wrecking a wall while another lines up the getaway vehicle is a very different puzzle from doing both yourself — and arguably a funnier one when it goes wrong.
Mods on Console, Now With Multiplayer
