The charming and strategic party-building roguelike adds online co-op and a deep new “Jewel Magic” system.
Asobism, the developer of the 2021 auto-battler hit Vivid Knight, has officially launched its sequel. The brand-new party-building roguelike, Vivid World, is out now on Steam and is already proving to be a hit with players, launching to a “Very Positive” review score.
The new title takes players to a new setting, the demon-ruled Underworld, and tasks them with mastering a new “Jewel Magic” system. Most importantly, it adds one of the most-requested features from the first game: online co-op.

Vivid World builds on the “party-building roguelike” formula of its predecessor. Players assemble a team of characters who have been transformed into “Jewels.” You buy, sell, and merge these Jewels to enhance their power, activate buffs, and create powerful synergies for the game’s auto-battles.
This sequel adds even more strategic depth. Players can now equip “Orbs” to each character for infinite customization, and during the auto-battles, you can support your party by combining or unleashing “Gems” for powerful effects.
The biggest new feature is the addition of online co-op multiplayer, which allows you to team up with a friend to “devise strategies and conquer challenging dungeons together.”
The game is earning praise for its charming, “pop-style” visuals and its deep, addictive strategic loop that players of Slay the Spire or Vivid Knight will immediately appreciate. As our own review quote says, it’s an “engaging roguelike! Build your party, conquer dungeons, and master strategy for an addictive adventure!”
Vivid World is available now on Steam for $19.99, with a 10% launch discount for a limited time. Asobism is also offering two discounted bundles for players: one that packages Vivid World with the original Vivid Knight, and another that bundles it with their factory-building tower defense game, ShapeHero Factory.
