THE KRESS TWINS JOIN THE SLAUGHTER
Otto and Arora Kress, conjoined twins born into a legacy of chemical horror, now patrol the newest Story Trial in The Outlast Trials—the Shopping Mall, a grotesque monument to capitalism and control. Players will now encounter their lethal chainsaw charges, 360-degree awareness, and vomit-inducing toxins in this violently satirical arena.
The Story Trial “Kill the Politician” dares Reagents to perform the ultimate civic duty under crushing psychological pressure, while MK-Challenges like “Get Out the Vote” and “Sentence the Persecuted” bring even more brutal decision-making to the forefront.
REBIRTH GETS REVAMPED
Season 4 revamps the Rebirth system, now offering two separate tracks:
- Original Rebirth (solo-focused)
- Communal Rebirth (built for team play)
Trials within Rebirth now include three randomized Variators:
- Mirror Variator: distorts perspective
- Rebirth Variator: adds mandatory secondary objectives
- Classified Variator: unknown horrors await
Only the strongest Reagents will survive long enough to witness what lies beyond the Trials.
DELUXE CATALOG + COSMETICS
Project Diarchy offers a 10-page Deluxe Catalog, filled with cosmetics that can be unlocked using Murkoff Coins and Stamps. Earn these through completing Trials, Tasks, and progressing through the Onboarding Catalog. All items acquired are permanently available.
Additionally, four DLC cosmetic packs are available for $4.99 USD each, letting you customize your Reagent even as your mind breaks.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Season 4 sets the stage for the game’s Fall 2025 update, which promises a new limited-time event, a new game mode, and even more terrifying content just in time for Halloween.
