Critical Reflex and student developer trio Forest Reges revealed SATED at the PC Gaming Show — a grotesque cooking and gambling roguelike set in a moving tram kitchen deep inside a rotting megastructure, where you cook increasingly horrifying meals for monsters that will eat you if they’re not satisfied. Published under Critical Reflex’s horror label CR Channel, SATED is available to wishlist on Steam now, and public playtest registration is open today.
The concept is immediately distinct: your only kitchen tool is a sentient, cursed refrigerator that functions as a deranged slot machine. Spin it for ingredients — organs, industrial waste, living insects, batteries, human eyes — and cook for a new monster at every tram stop. The order you add ingredients to the pot matters. A wrong move makes your dish cursed, moldy, or sentient. Get the order right, satisfy the abomination, and move deeper into the megastructure. Fail, and you’re the next course.

About the Developer
SATED comes from Forest Reges — a trio of student developers (AppleJollyGarden, KenForest, and Bebrazavr) who met during a game jam, built something that wouldn’t let them go, and turned the prototype into a full game. Critical Reflex is publishing through CR Channel, their dedicated indie horror label — the same house that brought out Buckshot Roulette and Mouthwashing. If you know those games, you know the quality threshold that label is operating at.
SATED has no confirmed release date. Wishlist it on Steam now and register for the upcoming public playtest if you want in early.
