One More Game has announced that SWAPMEAT — the Early Access body-part-swapping third-person shooter roguelite — launches into 1.0 on June 17, 2026 on PC, Mac, and Steam Deck. The 1.0 update is a major one: new planets, new mutations, a final boss, quality-of-life improvements across the board, Steam Achievements, and Trading Cards. After eight months of Early Access development shaped by active community testing, the game is ready for the main course.

The hook, if you haven’t followed it since Early Access: you are Squishy, a shape-shifting operative of Rangus Corp. You tear through alien worlds and harvest body parts from your enemies mid-combat — heads, torsos, legs — each with unique powers that stack and interact. Triple-jump legs. Turret-dropping torsos. Grenade-launching turkey heads. The combinations number in the thousands, and the game’s central loop is rapid adaptation under pressure: working with whatever drops and building something devastating from the chaos.

What’s in 1.0

The 1.0 update represents a meaningful expansion on the Early Access build. New planets add to the alien world variety, new mutations extend the body-part combination space, and the introduction of the final boss gives the run structure a proper endpoint for the first time. Quality-of-life improvements across the full game address feedback from the community testing process that has run parallel to Early Access since pre-alpha. Full patch notes will be revealed on launch day, June 17.

About One More Game

Founded in 2019 by Patrick Wyatt and Jamie Stormbreaker, One More Game is a fully remote, Seattle-based studio built from veterans of some of the most iconic franchises in gaming: Warcraft, Diablo, League of Legends, and Guild Wars. The studio’s philosophy — involving players early and iterating with community feedback — has been visible throughout SWAPMEAT’s Early Access run, with active developer presence in Discord and regular response to player testing. The Meat Lab tester community helped shape two years of pre-Early Access development before the game even hit Steam.
