🎬 tinyBuild Connect 2026 featured 16 games — the publisher’s biggest showcase yet, timed to its 15th anniversary. Two new games were revealed, Kingmakers finally got a proper gameplay deep dive, and a lot of what was shown is playable right now.
⚖️ Kingmakers Finally Shows Its Hand — but Still Has No Date
Kingmakers has been one of the most intriguing pitches in indie gaming for years: what happens if you take a modern arsenal to a medieval battlefield? It was also delayed indefinitely last October, so this showcase mattered.
The 10-minute gameplay deep dive is the closest look yet. You travel back to 1403 to help Owain Glyndŵr turn a Welsh rebellion into an empire, fighting in third-person combat with guns, vehicles and air support from the future. You’ll also command massive armies in RTS-style battles — sieging castles, building outposts and defending territory — solo or in co-op for up to four players.
What’s still missing is a date. Kingmakers is “launching into Steam Early Access soon,” and the concrete step is a playtest you can sign up for on Steam now. After a long wait, that playtest is the part to watch: it’s the first chance for players to judge whether the ambitious blend of shooter and strategy actually holds together.

tinyBuild aired its annual tinyBuild Connect showcase on September 14, featuring new trailers and announcements for 16 titles as the publisher celebrates 15 years in the business. The show was headlined by a gameplay deep dive for Kingmakers, alongside two brand-new reveals and a stack of demos, updates and release dates.

Two Brand-New Games
🦀 The Crab is Walking
A roguelite kingdom builder and autobattler set on top of giant crustaceans, from the makers of The King is Watching. Merge buildings, unlock upgrades and reshape your settlement as you cross a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Reveal trailer
🚕 Road to Jukai
Formerly known as Silent Road, now under a new tinyBuild publishing deal. A psychological night-shift taxi driving horror game set in Japan, due in 2027 — with a playtest available now on Steam.Announcement trailer
The Crab is Walking is the more immediately charming of the two — a very tinyBuild premise — while Road to Jukai is the one you can actually try this week. A horror game about driving a taxi through the night is a strong hook, and a public playtest this far from launch is a good sign of confidence.

⚰️ About That Graveyard Keeper 2 Demo
If Graveyard Keeper 2 caught your eye, the new demo is well worth trying before the September 22 launch. It’s available on PC and consoles, and your progress carries over to the full game — so there’s no wasted time.
We played the full release build ahead of launch and came away impressed: a smart Unreal Engine 5 rebuild, a zombie workforce with real personality, and a story premise that turns the first game’s best strategy into the apocalypse. The demo is also the best way to check how it runs on your own hardware.
