The highly anticipated “cozy horror” farming sim reveals a new ghostly character and secures a spot on PC Gamer’s Most Wanted list for 2026.
Today at the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted showcase, Blumhouse Games and developer Perfect Garbage unveiled a fresh look at Grave Seasons, the narrative farming simulator with a terrifying twist. The new trailer introduced players to a brand-new character in the town of Ashenridge, who just so happens to be a ghost.
The hype for this unique genre mashup is palpable. Grave Seasons claimed the #24 spot on PC Gamer’s top 25 most wanted list for 2026, sitting alongside other anticipated titles like Crisol: Theater of Idols.
Farming, Fishing, and… Murder?
On the surface, Grave Seasons looks like your standard cozy town simulator. You play as an escaped convict starting a new life in the idyllic town of Ashenridge. You can tend to your crops, go fishing, mine for resources, and participate in the local economy.
However, Ashenridge has a dark secret: a supernatural serial killer is stalking the townsfolk.
Unlike other farming sims where the most significant threat is a rainy day, Grave Seasons forces players to balance their harvest with a murder investigation. You must search for clues, break into neighbors’ homes, and craft protective items to survive the night. The killer is hidden among the charismatic townsfolk you interact with daily—and yes, the developers have confirmed that you can unknowingly (or knowingly) romance the killer.
